No govt job, no passport clearance for ‘anti-national’ elements in J&K  

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 01, 2021 : In a major crackdown on “traitors” and stone-pelters, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Sunday issued orders banning passport clearance, no provision of government jobs, among other restrictions.

The CID’s special branch Kashmir has directed all units to deny security clearance to those involved in law and order threats, stone-pelting, and other crimes prejudicial to the state’s security. All digital evidence and police records will be taken into account.

“All the field units of CID SB-Kashmir are hereby directed to ensure that during verification related to passport, service and any other verification related to Government services/schemes, the subject’s involvement in law & order, stone pelting cases and other crime prejudicial to the security of the state be specifically looked into and same must be corroborated from local police station records,” according to a circular issued by the Criminal Investigation Department, Special Branch-Kashmir.

“Also, digital evidence like CCTV footage, photographs, videos and audio clips, quadcopter images available in the records of the police, security forces and security agencies be also referred. Any subject found involved in any such cases must be denied the security clearance,” it said.

In this circular, a report should also be taken from the concerned police station for the identification of such persons. Apart from this, security agencies and police also have CCTV footage, photographs, videos, audios, and photographs of such people taken through quadcopters, their help should also be taken. (PTK)
