Mrs Nuzhat Gul secretary J&KSC gave away books and stationary items to budding Hockey Players
Jammu, June 11, 2021: Mrs. Nuzhat Gul Secretary J&K Sports Council gave away books and the stationary items to 22 needy women hockey players in a simple but impressive function organized by hockey J&K at Green Field Play Ground, Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
Mrs Gul while addressing the players said that result oriented hockey needed in this time of competition. She asked players to practice hard in hockey and at the same time stressed upon to study hard too and excel in the examinations. She whole heartedly appreciated the efforts of working President of Hockey J&K with whose efforts this great work of supporting the needy hockey players and propagating education amoung them. She said that a plantation drive will be started on the onset of monsoon as the social commitment of sports persons. A training camp for women hockey players and Men Hockey players also declared open by the Secretary J&K Sports Council on the occasion.
Mr. Rajinder singh Kuku Sr.Vice President Hockey J&K presented buckeye to the chief guest.
Mr. Rajiv Sharma working president while welcoming the Chief Guest said that more than 10000 plant saplings of different species will be planted during this monsoon season.
Dr. Zafar Iqbal Chief Accounts Officer J&K SC present amoung prominent in the function.
Mr. Ashok Singh Jamwal while speaking on the occasion said that under the leadership of Madam Nuzhat Gul sports council has taken many leaps ahead. He appreciated the role of Hockey J&K for promoting Hockey in J&K.
Dr. Taran Singh General secretary Hockey J&K thanked Secretary Sports Council for granting hockey training camp for 40 women and 20 men players stressed upon the players to practice hard so that we can give medal winning performance during coming nationals.
