Madan Lal Chalotra seeks political reservation for OBC people in J&K
JAMMU, OCTOBER 09, 2021: Apni Party’s State OBC Coordinator Madan Lal Chalotra today demanded political reservation for OBC people in J&K.
He was addressing a meeting of OBC wing at Rajpur (Mishriwala) of District Jammu Rural-1. The meeting was organised under the chairmanship of State Coordinator OBC Madan Lal Chalotra and it was organised by Satpaul Verma, OBC leader of Apni Party.
On this occasion, the OBC committee was announced by Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh after its approval from Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari. The committee members were recommended, State Coordinator OBC, Madan Lal Chalotra.
The members of this committee include Satpaul Verma appointed as District President of OBC Wing in Jammu District Rural-1, Subedar Dewan Chand as Sr Vice President, Shakti Kumar as Vice President, Ghastu Ram as Vice President, Parshotam Verma as Vice President, Sonu Kashyap as General Secretary, Kewal Krishan as Secretary, Yash Pal as Secretary, Rashpal Singh as Secretary, Vijay Kumar as Secretary.
Speaking on the occasion, State Coordinator OBC Madan Lal Chalotra referred to the long pending demand of OBC people to grant 27 percent reservation in J&K.
He said that the issues were never addressed by the political parties in Jammu and Kashmir.
“They were voted to power by the people for the last seven decades but the issues for which people supported various political parties remained unfulfilled,” he said.
He said that the Apni Party is committed to the upliftment of OBC people. He also demanded political reservation of OBC people so that they can get their representation for the redressal of their issues. Meanwhile, he appealed to people to join the Apni Party.
