Senior Apni Party Leader Highlights Plight of Displaced Migrants with New District Head

Anantnag, March 01, 2026: Senior Apni Party and Kashmiri Pandit leader, Shri M.K. Yogi, today called upon the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Anantnag in his office chamber. The meeting served as an opportunity to formally greet the new district head, Dr. Bilal, on assuming his charge and to initiate a dialogue on various public issues, with a particular focus on the genuine and long-standing problems faced by the displaced migrant community living in exile.

In a statement issued following the productive meeting, Shri Yogi confirmed that he had extended his congratulations to Dr. Bilal on his new appointment. He elaborated that their discussion was detailed and comprehensive, covering a range of genuine problems affecting the general populace of the district, as well as the specific and persistent grievances of the displaced migrant community. The discussion aimed to sensitize the new administration to the on-ground realities and the necessity for a proactive approach to resolving these issues, which have affected the community for over thirty-seven years.

In response, the new Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Bilal, gave the leader a patient and attentive hearing. He assured Shri Yogi that he is committed to addressing the overall problems of the people within the district. Importantly, he also gave a firm assurance that the specific problems and grievances of the displaced migrants would be given due consideration and that he would leave no stone unturned in ensuring their issues are addressed effectively.
