Lieutenant Governor Releases First Edition of Vitasta Herald News Magazine Powered by TRN

Manoj Sinha Emphasises Need for Credible Media in Society

Jammu, February 01, 2026: The first edition of Vitasta Herald, a newly launched monthly news magazine powered by TRN, was formally released by Manoj Sinha at the Lok Bhavan on Sunday.

A team from Vitasta Herald and TRN, led by Rohit Bhat, Bureau Chief, King C Bharati, Group Editor-in-Chief, Sushma Kumari, Editor, and Bhavna Pandit, Advisor, called on the Lieutenant Governor and presented him with the inaugural January 2026 edition of the magazine. The team sought his blessings for the publication’s future journey and its role in strengthening responsible journalism.

Releasing the first issue, the Lieutenant Governor appreciated the efforts of the TRN and Vomedh team in bringing out a new news magazine at a time when credible and balanced media is increasingly vital for society. He said that responsible journalism plays an important role in highlighting the genuine concerns of the people and in contributing to informed public discourse.

The Lieutenant Governor emphasised that credibility, accuracy and public interest must remain the core values of the media. He observed that society today requires media platforms that go beyond headlines and bring pressing issues to the forefront with depth and clarity. Expressing confidence in the editorial leadership of Vitasta Herald, he said that the magazine has the potential to serve as a torchbearer for society under the guidance of experienced journalists with a strong understanding of ground realities.

The editorial team briefed the Lieutenant Governor about the vision of Vitasta Herald, being run under the patronage of Rakesh Roshan Bhat, which aims to provide in-depth reporting, analysis and features on Jammu and Kashmir, along with coverage of national and international developments. They said the magazine is committed to maintaining high journalistic standards and offering readers thoughtful, well-researched content in a monthly format.

The January 2026 inaugural edition marks the formal beginning of Vitasta Herald as a news magazine and is also being made available as an e-paper through the TRN platform, enabling wider access for readers across regions.
