Lady allegedly gang raped in Srinagar, stages protests, demands justice
SRINAGAR JUNE 02, 2021: A lady on Wednesday staged protest in Press colony and demanded Justice after she alleged that she was gang raped by three persons in Srinagar
An official said that a lady from UP married in Srinagar presently Living in Mehjoor Nagar, Srinagar, came here at Press colony and hold a protest
While talking to media she said that on May 07 three persons came to her residence at Mehjoor Nagar raped and harassed her and after rapping they left.
She said that later for many days she was in shock and on 27 May she approached women’s police station Rambagh along with step brother namely Advocate Amir Masoodi and lodged an F.I.R.
Later police swung into action and arrested one accused namely Gulcharan Singh resident of Mehjoor Nagar, however, two others namely Irshad Ahmad Malik resident of Natipora and Jan Manzoor resident of Mehjoor Nagar are not arrested yet, she said .
She added that she is being harrased by religious communities (Muslim/Sikh) even they are threatening her that will kidnap her two children and kill them. My husband has died how can i protect myself and my children, she said.
She appealed higher authorities to arrest the other two accused and give protection to her and her children’s.
She also said that DSP Mansha Beigh is helping her however few police personnel from concerned police station are also forcing her to withdraw case.
She requested IGP Kashmir to personally look into the matter at an earliest so that she can get justice. (PTK)
