KPs support Jammu Bandh, Hold Candlelight March to Protest Pahalgam Terrorist Attack
Community Leaders Condemn Attack, Demand Justice
Jammu, April23, 2025: In a powerful display of solidarity with the victims of the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, Kashmiri Pandits across Jammu joined Jammuites to observe a Bandh and participated in a candlelight march. The shutdown, supported by various social organizations, civil society groups, the Bar Council, Beopaar Mandel, and transport unions, served as a peaceful protest against the horrific violence.
A significant number of prominent Kashmiri Pandit social and political activists and leaders voiced their support for the bandh. M.K. Yogi, Vinod Pandita, Er. Rishi Kilam, Ashok Kumar Koul, Sunil Pandita, Bharat Kachroo, Ashwani Bhat, Tej Dhar, Pintoo Ji, Sanjay Dhar, P.L. Thusoo, Naveen Gosai, Subash Zutshi, Rajinder Dhar, Shuban Ji Raina, Rajesh Labroo, Krishan Ji Koul, Rakesh Ji Ambardar, Chand Ji, Kaka Ji Bhan, T.N. Dhar, Mohan Lal Comrade, Ravinder Koul, Kuldeep Pandita, Hira Lal Pandita, Chuni Lal Kandi, and Sunil Ji, among many others, joined in condemning the attack.
These leaders expressed profound sorrow over the loss of innocent lives and extended their deepest condolences to the bereaved families. They strongly condemned the barbaric targeting of Hindu tourists and demanded swift and decisive action from authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.
In a moving demonstration of unity and grief, a large candlelight march was held in Jagti township, proceeding to Mata Kheerbhawani Temple. The march served as a poignant tribute to the victims and a powerful symbol of solidarity with their families. The event highlighted the widespread condemnation of the attack and the community’s collective call for justice and an end to the violence plaguing the region.
