KP Welfare Forum dissociates itself from illegal occupiers in Vessu Colony

Forum wants suitable accommodation for all PM Package employees, lists other demands

Vessu, July 11, 2021: K.P Welfare Forum Panchmukhi Colony Vessu today held a press conference in which the forum completely dissociated itself from the illegal activities of some of the members of the area and those who have illegally occupied the newly constructed quarters in Vessu besides listing their own demands and seeking accommodation to all PM Package Employees.

Addressing a press conference, the Forum president Sanjay Koul flanked by Rakesh Bhan and Shakti Ji said that the forum is not at all associated with so called Vessu Welfare Committee nor involved in legal proceedings against them for illegal occupation of allotted quarters for the needy.

The forum disassociates itself from people or group involved in illegal activity in the Kp Colony and does not support nor endorses their deeds, he added.

Koul said that the forum purely works on merit basis to overcome the hardships and difficulties faced by KP residents in the colony on day-to-day basis.

He clarified that the Kashmiri Pandits having a long history of being a peace-loving community, with 100% literacy and 0% crime rate, always works hard and honestly to earn a respectable living without being involved in any unlawful activity adding unfortunately due to unlawful activities by a few employees the image of the whole community is being tarnished.

On behalf of the forum, he appealed to the government to construct 512 quarters with suitable and concrete accommodation so that every employee of Kulgam and Anantnag gets accommodated in proper and legal manner, and live their life in peace and harmony.

Koul personally condemned the threatening of officials by some miscreants saying they have full faith in law and hop justice prevails and the people of community are able to live in peace and harmony with the local brethren.

The forum requested the concerned authorities to support and assist Kashmiri Pandits to live a dignified life in the valley by providing and monitoring un -interrupted supply of basic needs.

The forum further requested the concerned authorities to provide a suitable dumping site for the disposable of waste and garbage.
