KP delegation Calls on Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner J&K
Jammu, December 16, 2023: A delegation of Kashmiri Pandits led by M.K. Yogi today called on Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner Shri K.K. Sidha in his office Chamber at Jammu to apprise him about the urgent genuine problems of Kashmir Pandits living in exile for last more than thirty years & sought their early amelioration.
KP leaders M.K.Yogi, Vinod Pandita, Ashwani Bhat, Vishal Jotshi said that during their meeting with the Relief Commissioner today, they highlighted and apprised him about the genuine problems being faced by the community on many fronts like increasing unemployment among educated KP migrant youth, construction of more residential quarters in Jammu for migrants due to increase in population, enhancement of monthly cash assistance, genuine problems of PM packages employees, streamlining of regular supply of electricity in Jagti township forthwith, Macdamization of main road along with lanes of Jagti and other migrant camps, up gradation of Jagti Playground with adequate & required infrastructure for playing all outdoor games, formation of time bound return & rehabilitation policy for migrants in valley, implementation of immovable migrant property Act, 1997 in true letter & Spirit in valley.
M.K Yogi appealed the officer to take up the genuine problems discussed in threadbare in the meeting with the Government for early resolution for sake of justice and equity. The officer gave a patient hearing to the problems listed by the leaders in the meeting and assured them that he would take up these genuine issues with the concerned authorities soon for their early resolution.
The Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner also apprised the delegation about the various tangible and useful steps being taken soon for the welfare and betterment of the community by the Government like digitalizing of complete of Relief and Rehabilitation Department which would not only save their time in getting their problems resolved but also will bring more promptness, transparency in the quick The officer also assured them that some more major steps will be taken shortly for the upliftment and betterment of the community by the Government which were highly appreciated by the leaders present in the meeting.
These leaders also lauded the role of the department especially the officer in Chair for reaching out to the migrants living outside Jammu and Kashmir for last more than three decades for resolving their genuine problems on the spot at their door steps.
