Kargil Zanskar National Highway NH-301 formally handed over to NHIDCL authorities
Snow clearance on NH-301 now being done by NHIDCL
KARGIL, JUNE 23, 2021: The Kargil Zanskar National Highway NH 301 was formally handed over to the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL) here today.
In presence of the Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve and Additional DC Kargil Tsering Motup, on behalf of the District Administration Kargil Nodal Officer, NH-301/Executive Engineer, R&B Suru Valley Division Sankoo Er Shabir Hussain and from the NHIDCL side General Manager (P), PMU, NHIDCL, Kargil Colonel A K Shivkumar handed and taken over the inventory/charge note of the highway at DC Office Kargil.
The inventory/charge note of the highway included the work done liabilities for an amount of Rs 281.95 lakhs, status of works executed by PWD, Kargil along with details of contractor and related documents, inventories of existing structures on NH-301, lane configuration of the highway and type of pavement and other related documents besides the liabilities of Suru Valley, R&B and PWD Division Zanskar.
Moreover, as per the inventory/charge note, the snow clearance on the highway from km 0-234 kms will now be done by NHIDCL from the date of handover.
