JKNPP holds urgent Secretariat & Working Committee meeting

Jammu, June 08, 2021: Prof.Bhim Singh, President, J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) presided over an urgent Secretariat & Working Committee meeting and the following decisions were taken by the members present and announced the line of action as to what needs to be done by the Panthers Party to save the historical State Jammu & Kashmir spread over 84000 sq. miles of Territory of J&K.

i).      The first and foremost mission of the JKNPP is the restoration of statehood of J&K which was founded in 1846 by Maharaja Gulab Singh establishing the State of Jammu & Kashmir which included the entire Ladakh region, Gilgit & Baltistan.

ii).     After restoration of the State of Jammu & Kashmir, the State Assembly elections should be held without any delay, so that a responsible people’s government shall represent the people of J&K. The Election Commission allowed Assembly elections for 5 States, just a couple months back. 5 more States including Uttar Pradesh are on the line of holding Assembly Elections this year. There is no argument that Assembly Elections in J&K can’t be held because of Delimitation.

iii).    As Delimitation was not held for some time in J&K there is sufficient reason to hold Assembly Elections in J&K along with next Assembly Elections being held in other States in coming months. Delimitation can be done with the rest of India as and when it is notified.

iv).    Adequate security should be provided to all Office-bearers of JKNPP in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The same was withdrawn unjustly and it is seen that unrecognized political and another personalities are provided security, whereas JKNPP being a recognized political party from Election Commission of India is devoid of this facility from the Govt leaving its political leaders at the mercy of anti-nationals in both the Union Territories.

v).     Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the inability of the various office-bearers from Kashmir, Ladakh and other Districts of Jammu Province to come and attend the scheduled Working Committee meeting on June 13, 2021, the same was postponed till further intimation.

The Panthers Party issues a clear warning to the Union of India seeking immediate attention to save Jammu & Kashmir from death and destruction. Fresh elections and elected Govt is the only answer to save Jammu & Kashmir from further chaos and anarchy. Participation of the people of the entire State of Jammu & Kashmir including Ladakh region is the only way out to restore democracy and rule of law in J&K.

The others who participated in the meeting included Harsh Dev Singh (Chairman-JKNPP), P.K Ganju (Sr. Vice President), Anita Thakur and Hakikat Singh (General Secretaries), Capt. Anil Gour (Provincial President), Gagan Pratap Singh and Desh Rattan Pandita (State Secretaries), Neeraj Dewan (General Secretary-PTU), Naresh Chib and Surinder Chouhan (District Presidents), Rakesh Gupta & Surinder Wahi (Members of Working Committee), Iqbal Choudhary & Masood Andrabi (Vice Presidents) participated on telephone from Kishtwar and Srinagar respectively and District President Poonch Advocate Saleem Sheikh also participated telephonically from Poonch.
