Jammu to host All India Mushaira, Kavi Sammelan
Top bollywood lyricist, poets of country to participate
Jammu, January 26, 2021: To celebrate India’s 72nd Republic Day the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with Radio Mirchi to holds a two day mega poetry event at summer capital here on 27th and 28th of January. Country’s top Hindi and Urdu poets, bolloywood lyricists , writers will be in Jammu on our invitation.
This was stated by Munir ul Islam , Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages while Addressing a Press Conference held here this afternoon.
He said that the gala event will be organized at Zorawar Singh Auditorium , University of Jammu and top dignitaries of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory are expected to participate in this first ever national event of its own kind.
He said Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Sh. Manoj Sinha will be the Chief Guest on 27th of January at 3.30pm.
He said we are also providing a plate form to youth of Jammu and Kashmir in these events and added that the Radio Mirchi has organised a poetry competition and received 450 entries from youths of Jammu and Kashmir. After adjudging each entry , 10 young poets have been chosen by adjudicators from Urdu and Hindi to recite their poetry during the event and interact with senior poets.
He said this year we have added young poets to this national event whose poetic creations adjudged best in the competition held with the help of Radio Mirchi.
Distinguished poets who have given their consents to be the art of these event on 27th of Jan in All India Mushaira includes ;Wasim Barelvi , Manzar Bhobali, Nawaz Deobandhi, Kunwar Javed, Khushbu Sharma , Ana Dehlvi, Pritpal Singh Betab , Balraj Bakhshi , Dr. Liaqat Jafri , Dr. Shafaq Sopori , Dr. Nazir Azad , Ms. Rukhsana Jabeen, He said
Young poets who have been participating in these events include Kanchan, Madima , Zahid , Roheet Verma, Sushant Jammu in Hindi and in Urdu , Mohd Akram , Basit Ayoub , Mehak , Umair Umi and , Yamin Kashmir are taking part.
He added , in Kavi Sammelan to be held on 28 January, Sunil Jogi , Jagdish Solanki , Sudip Bhola , Shashi Kant Yadav , Vishnu Saxena will also take part.
He was accompanied by Chief Editors – Mohammad Ashraf Tak, Dr. Javaid Rahi and Dr. Mirza Farooq Anwar.
Other dignitaries to be the part of the event includes Mr. Hari Narayan Harish , Prof. Raza Abbas Nayyar, he said.
