India Post Payments Bank organised a financial literacy camp at Village Hoochak of Banihal (Ramban)
Ramban, February 18, 2021: India Post Payments Bank, Udhampur Branch organized “going digital” financial literacy camp at unbanked village Hoochak of Banihal tehsil of Ramban. The programme was intended to widespread the knowledge regarding various financial products of Post Office and the recent technological innovations in banking sector.
Amit Sharma, Branch Manager informed the masses about the benefits of social security schemes namely Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and other services provided by India Post Payments bank at door step i.e Cash Deposit/Cash Withdrawal, Digital Life Certificate etc. He advised the gathering for opening the accounts in the bank and make saving a habit for better future
Surinder Sharma SDI Batote Sub-Division gave a detailed overview of the Postal Services provided by India Post i.e Sukanya Samriddhi Account for girl child below 10 Years of age, Public Provident Fund Account, Recurring Deposit Account and PLI/RPLI. The India Post Payments Bank utilising its national network of more than one lakh 36 thousand access points in Post Offices and more than one lakh 90 thousand Postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks with smart phones and biometric devices to provide Doorstep Banking Services.
Rakesh Singh Kattal informed the masses about “ Dak Pay” App launched by India Post. The App is launched as part of its ongoing efforts to provide Digital Financial inclusion at the last mile across India.
Dak Pay is not just a digital payment app but a suite of digital financial and assisted banking services provided by India Post and IPPB through the trusted Postal network across the nation to cater to the financial needs of various sections of the society.
