Increase in unemployment among youth serious cause of concern: Abhay

Jammu, July 12, 2021: Apni Party, State General Secretary, Abhay Bakaya today said it is a serious cause of concern for all of us that unemployment is increasing among the educated youth of Jammu and Kashmir in absence of job opportunities.

In a statement issued here, Abhay said that the disappointment sparked out of unemployment among educated youth and poor chances of getting employment even in the private sector.
“The covid situation and other consequences have hampered economic activities which had adverse effect on employment in the private sector,” he said and appealed to the Govt. to advertise the vacant posts in various departments and refer them for recruitment.
Meanwhile, a dozen youth joined the Youth Wing of Apni Party during the programme organised by State General Secretary, Youth Wing, Abhay Bakaya at ward number 71 Sidhra as a part of Party’s outreach programme.

Prominent among those who joined the Youth Wing of Apni Party included Zafar Naz, Bhavesh Kapoor, Saurav, Vijay Kumar, Sohan Lal, Ashu, Sharma, Ryan Ahmed, Balwinder Singh, Altaf Choudhary, Junaid, Sham Lal, and others.

Welcoming the youth into the party, Abhay said that “Apni Party is only hope for the youth which represents their aspiration.”
He said that “All the amendments in the orders related to youth were done with the intervention of our Party’s President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari, be it the jobs which were thrown open for all, age relaxation or probation period of fourth-class employees which was kept for 5 years. However, it was brought down to 2 years.”
He added that political parties want youth to vote for them. However, it was only Altaf Bukhari Sahab who raised the voice for youth in recently held All Parties Meet and other political parties remained silent on the issues faced by the youth of J&K.
