Harmony India Awards 2021 announced
Jammu, October 08, 2021: Harmony Cultural Foundation in association with Harmony India, one of the prestigious and reputed organizations in the field of Art & Culture has announced Harmony India Awards 2021.
According to a press statement issued here the foundation has dedicated this years awards to Jammu and Kashmir and its undeterred spirit.
The press statement says that this year Harmony India Awards 2021 was celebrating the spirit of Jammu & Kashmir.
It adds, “This year is the 7th edition of the Harmony India Awards to be held on Sunday, 17th October,2021, at Teacher’s Bhawan, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, 4:30PM onwards, where the creative personalities, artists, musicians, writers, social activists ,theatre & visual artists, journalists are felicitated for their outstanding contribution in the growth and development of nation. Amidst following all the covid protocols, Harmony Cultural Foundation, one of the prestigious organization working with an equitable development approach, in association with Harmony India, is organizing Harmony India Awards 2021 & Musical Festival, with the theme “Celebrating the Spirit of Jammu & Kashmir”
“With Amrit Mahotsav initiative by GOI, this year has been a year of celebration of glorious history of our nation’s people, culture and achievement. There is freshness and new wave across the nation, our foundation has been largely instrumental in the growth of art & culture of J&K and with these awards we celebrate every year the success of J&K state and nation. Such initiatives play an important role side by side in strengthening the strong cultural bond across the state and nation” said Singer-Music Composer Saurabh Zadoo.
With a special release of Nadim’s poem “Me Cham Aash Paghaech” (I Have Hope In Tomorrow), composed and conducted by Saurabh Zadoo, this year will be a choral presentation by Indian Harmonies Choir of J&K, who recently performed ‘Soun Wattan’ at Inaugural Ceremony of Amrit Mahotsav and represented J&K’s music globally in front of PM Modi ji. The program will begin with musical performances followed by award ceremony.
Life time achievement award’ for this year is being conferred upon Zareef Ahmad Zareef, Sahitya Academy Awardee, a kashmiri poet and writer, for his outstanding contribution in the field of Kashmiri Literature and Language.
Shrestha Samman is being conferred upon Veer Munshi for his contribution in the field of Fine Arts.
Shrestha Samman is being conferred upon Kailash Mehra for her contribution in the field of Kashmiri Sufiyana and Folk Music.
Shrestha Samman is being conferred upon Ravi Kemmu for his contribution in the field of Acting & Theatre,
Shrestha Samman is being conferred posthumously upon Late Shadi Lal Koul for his contribution in the field of Acting,
Shrestha Samman is being conferred upon M K Bangroo for his immense contribution in the field of Print Media and Journalism,
Shrestha Samman is being conferred upon Ravinder Kaul for his contribution in the field of Art & Culture,
Shrestha Samman is being conferred upon Gokul Dembi for his contribution in the field of Fine Arts,
Shrestha Samman is being conferred posthumously upon Late Pandit Mohan Nirash for his contribution in the field of Kashmiri Language & Literature,
Shrestha Samman is being conferred upon Dr. Naseeb Singh Manhas for his contribution in the field of Media Production,
Shrestha Samman is being conferred upon Ravi Dhar for his contribution in the field of Painting and Sculpture.
The Samman is given in recognition of the outstanding contribution by personalities in their respective fields.
‘State Icon Award’ is being conferred upon Rajesh Raina in the field of Journalism.
‘Community Icon Award’ is being conferred upon Sandhya Dhar in the field of Social Work, Kanwal Peshin & Sanjay Saraf for Community services.
‘Yuva Puraskar’ is being conferred upon Abdul Rashid in the field of Kashmiri Folk Instrumental Music.
A special award will be given this year for Voluntary Service During Covid-19 to Dr Rohit Koul ,Vikas Razdan, Bhavna Pandita & Ravinder Pandita who have been supporting hand during these unprecedented times.
