Govt must provide medical support to JK’s tribal community on priority: Kadfeen
Srinagar: Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Wednesday has asked the government to take immediate measures in addressing the hardships being faced by Jammu and Kashmir’s tribal community amid the prevalent pandemic in the state.
Kadfeen in a statement has said that it is extremely worrying that the Tribal communality in various areas lack the basic medical facilities and do have a government support readily available to them.
He added that at present, the tribals particularly the Bakerwal community are migrating from plains to mountainous regions and during the course of migration are facing various hardships. Kadfeen said that the government must address the hardships being witnessed by the community at the earliest.
The Congress leader added that amid the ongoing COVID-19 crises, the government should make these tribal people aware of the dos and don’ts of the present situation besides providing them the medical support that they could avail without hindrance.
Furthermore, the Congress leader has wished for the speedy recovery to IAS officer and Secretary to Govt on Tribal Affairs, Dr. Shahid Choudhary.
