GDC Drass organizes online sports quiz competition
KARGIL, MAY 29, 2021: The Department of Physical Education and Sports, Government Degree College (GDC) Drass organized an online sports quiz competition here today.
The objective of organizing the quiz competition was to attract the students of the college towards the importance of games and sports besides to mobilize them to participate in different games and sports activities.
Yet another objective of the quiz competition was to emphasize the role of sports and physical education in the wellbeing of an individual-both physical and mental especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
This quiz competition formulated on the directions of the Principal GDC Drass Dr Amjad Ali was successfully conducted by the Director Physical Education and Sports Mustafa Ali and Assistant Professor Commerce, Shujat Ali Mir.
More than 50 Students from different semesters participated in the online sports quiz competition.
Students including Farida Batool from 6th semester, Sharifuddin from 4th semester and Muhammad Jameel from 5th semester secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
It was informed on the occasion that the meritorious students will be awarded with e-certificates and cash prizes.
