Jammu, July 14, 2025 : From the vibrant soil of Dogri theatre, a powerful voice echoed once again as Aazaad Parindey Kala Manch’s play “Galat Vyakaran” roared at the recently concluded Dogri Rangutsav Festival, bagging an impressive seven prestigious awards. The production, staged at Abhinav Theatre, captivated the audience with its depth, finesse, and emotional intensity, marking it as the most awarded play of the festival.
Organised under the leadership of Samooh Theatre with the support of the Senior Citizens Support Service Club (Chowadi), the festival became a cultural celebration of the Dogri language and performing arts. For Aazaad Parindey Kala Manch, it turned into a moment of glory. The play, written by Kumar A. Bharti and directed by Mohit Singh Chib, secured accolades across multiple categories, showcasing the group’s collective brilliance.
The haul of seven awards included Second Best Director for Mohit Singh Chib and Second Best Actor for Janak Khajuria. The technical prowess of the production was also recognized, with Sandeep Verma winning Best Light Design and the team of Mohit Singh Chib & Saksham securing the award for Best Set Design. Merit certificates were also awarded to Ankit, Sheetal, and Saksham for their performances.
Director Mohit Singh Chib described the achievement as a “beautiful comeback” in his theatrical journey. “The overwhelming love and appreciation we received is unforgettable,” he shared. “On behalf of my entire team, I express heartfelt gratitude to everyone who believed in us. These awards are not just honours — they are proof of our passion and persistence.”
Chib also extended his sincere thanks to the Senior Citizens Support Service Club for providing the platform for their performance. Looking ahead, he announced, “We are now preparing our next Dogri production, scheduled to premiere in September 2025.” This victory of Aazaad Parindey Kala Manch is being hailed not just as a win for a play, but as a triumph of language, culture, and heartfelt expression in the region.
