Field Outreach Bureau Rajouri organises Webinar on “Precautions for home isolation during Covid-19”

Rajouri, May 27, 2021: Field Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Rajouri in close coordination with Press Information Bureau, Jammu, Tehsil Administration, Mendhar, District Information Centre, Rajouri, Health department, Mendhar, ICDS, Mendhar, Govt. Degree College, Mendhar and Nodal Officer, Indian System of Medicines, Reasi  organised a webinar on “Precautions for home isolation during Covis-19” today.  The webinar was presided over by Miss Neha Jalali, Deputy Director, Press Information Bureau, Jammu and Regional Outreach Bureau, Govt. of India, J&K and Ladakh UTs.

Speaking on this occasion Miss Neha Jalali underlined the need to understand precautions and treatment to be taken for home Isolation during Covid-19.  She said that every citizen has to shoulder responsibility for combating Coivid-19 by following SOPs and guidelines, creating self confidence, generating awareness, Helping and providing essential assistance to needy  during these tough times.  She extended her gratitude to District Administration, Poonch, SDM, BMO, CDPO, DIO, Rajouri, Nodal Officer, ISM, Reasi, Principal Govt. Degree College, Mendhar for extending their coordination  and support in reaching out the far flung areas of Tehsil Mendhar.

Dr. Sahil Jandyal, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Mendhar who acted as key speaker of the webinar delivered a key note address on the subject.  Giving Overview of efforts of Administration in containing the spread of Covid-19 (Preparedness and Provisions for home isolation during Ciovid-19) Dr.  Jandyal said that Tehsil administration has left no stone unturned in implementing SOPs and guidelines in a befitting manners issued by the Government from time to time an.  The convergence of departments to combat the spread of Covis-19 yielded fruitful results and with passage of every day the recovery rate increased and active cases declined.  He further added that now the Tehsil administration has completed 5 bedded Covid care centres in all 75 panchayats to meet any challenge occurring, if any, due to Covid.

Dr. Parveez Ahmed Khan, Block Medical Officer, Mendhar also spoke on various aspects and provisions of Covid-19 with special emphasis on precautions and treatment for home isolation during Covid-19.  He was of the view that health department is providing every sort of help to patients and strongly advocated that general masses have to spread the awareness to contain the  Covid-19

Dr. Idrees, Physician Specialist while interacting with participants said that health department is on its toes to contain the pandemic. He underlined He   the importance of physical distancing, wearing mask, washing hands frequently, refraining from social gatherings and coming out of home unnecessarily plays a key role to contain spread of Covis-19

Dr. Arun Gupta, Medical Officer, Indian System of Medicines, Reasi acted as Resource person and highlighted the importance of home isolation.  He provided a detailed awareness and information about the precautions and treatment for home isolation during Covid.  He provided various crucial and very important remedies to boost the physical and mental health including immunity.  He said that Physical and Mental health plays a very important role to combat any disease including Covid-19.

Ms. Taj-Un-Nisa, Child Development Project Officer, Mendhar spoke about the role of Anganwadi Workers in reaching out far flung and remote corners of Tehsil Mendhar and providing necessary health care and other facilities to masses at their door steps.  She said that in these tough times every citizen has to contribute his official and social obligations in curbing the spread of Covid-19.

Dr. Sarfraz Mir, Chairman Sir Syed Education Mission, Poonch also provided valuable information about precautions for home isolation during Covid-19.  He also shared his experiences in reaching out the needy in such tough times.  He appreciated the efforts for organising such webinars and suggested that more and more such webinars should be organised in future too so that people can get valuable information.

A number of participants comprising Anganwadi workers, ASHAs, Students took active part in the webinar.

Prof. Dleep Kumar Raina, Principal, GDC, Mendhar, Prof. A.A. Chowdhary, I/C NSS Wing, Prof. Mohmmad Akram, I/C NCC wing extended support in organising the webinar.
