Jammu, February 27, 2021: To remember Martyr Chander Shekhar Azad, the Freedom Fighters Memorial Association (FFMA) held a programme on his death anniversary at Dogra Shaurya Sthal Ambphalla, here today.
The programme was organized by Ved Gandotra, Chairman FFMA and President JJSF Pushvinder Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.
Floral tributes were paid with showers of petals on the photograph of Martyr Chander Shekhar Azad, by all the members. Two-minute silence was observed in the honour of the great freedom fighter and candles were also lit.
The members highlighted the bravery of national hero Chander Shekhar Azad, who also turned the meaning of the freedom struggle. Chander Shekhar sacrificed his life for the nation, while fighting the British Police.
The members appealed to the leaders of today to work with honesty and zeal so that the dreams of the martyrs of a prosperous and happy India may be made true.
The prominent among those who spoke on the occasion were Vice Chairman Rajiv Mahajan, President R.C Puri, Sukhminder Singh Maini, Karnail Chand, Prof. S.P Verma, Parbhat Kapahi, Raju Palwan and others.
