KARGIL MAY 31 , 2021: As a part of the measures to ensure provision of free ration and other essential commodities to the migrant laborers across the district during the present COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent Corona curfew, District Administration Kargil distributed free dry ration kits among more than 300 laborers here today.
Migrant Labour Welfare Committee Kargil distributed the dry ration kits among the migrant laborers at Kabadi Nalah, AJUIAK Chowk, Old Taxis Sand, Chanchik, Haidari Mohallah , Biamathang, Upper Baroo and adjoining areas.
Food items were distributed among the laborers as per the scale of rice 5 kgs, , dal 1.50 kgs, cooking oil 1 liter, nutri nuggets 1.50 kgs, sugar 0.5 kgs, milk powder 0.5 kgs, 3 masks and 1 soap per person besides sanitary pads for female laborers.
Furthermore, free medicines were also provided to the needy laborers on production of doctor’s prescription.
