DIG U-R Range Conducted Crime review at Reasi

Reasi, July 06, 2021: DIG Udhampur Reasi Range Sh Mohd Suleman Choudhary IPS conducted  a crime review meeting in Reasi. Meeting was attended by SSP Reasi Sh Shailender Singh, ASP Reasi & Katra, SDPO’s and SHO’s of district Reasi.

Police Station wise review of progress on  crime investigation, Inquests proceedings; crime against women, action against drug peddlers, bovines smugglers and  complaints was made.

Besides these progress of Police Stations on tracing of missing persons, absconders, solving of theft and burglary cases and execution of court process were also discussed threadbare.

SHO’s of Police Stations of district Reasi briefed the officer regarding various law and order flash points of their Police Station.

SDPO’S discussed various important issues of their sub divisions including the progress achieved on different fronts in the meetings.

SSP presented a detailed view of district Reasi on all the agenda points including the achievements of district police Reasi in recent past.

Mr Choudhary appreciated the initiative of district police Reasi on uploading all off-line complaints on the CCTNS portal, continuous arrests of large number of absconders from the UT of J&K. Mr Suleman Choudhary also asked the SHO’s to clean the slate regarding list of absconding criminals, make more progress in cases disposal, tracing of missing persons and put efforts to achieve 100% execution of Court processes.

The supervisory officer expressed his satisfaction over launching of the Operation “EK YUDH NASHE KE VIRUDH” in which 41 cases under NDPS Act and 77 case FIR have been registered for illicit distillation and 142 accused persons have been arrested in around 10 weeks.

He also complemented the district police for not only switching over to 100% police working on CCTNS portal but also making more efforts by putting old investigating hands to computer and CCTNS training in small groups in the DPL while taking the advantage of reduced outdoor investigation work during the peak Pandemic wave.

DIG Sh Suleman Choudhary further appreciated the efforts of District police in identifying more than 300 long pending cases & inquests for want of pending reports of FSL, medical examination & revenue department, taking up with concerned departments & procuring more than 200 reports & bringing the equal number of cases nn FIR’s to logical conclusion in short time. The Officer further directed that in the declining Covid Pandemic, district police should put more efforts in disposal of rest of the long pending cases & inquest proceedings.
Crime against women and minors needs to be addressed on priority by the police.

Mr Choudhary also showed his deep concern on attempt to revive the militancy in Mahore area & directed officers to revisit & detect the undercurrents as well as the the false propaganda on social media including Facebook, whatsapp to curb the new pattern of radicalization.

Word on security of vital installations specially mentioned

Officers were briefed to work with zeal & dedication to curb the menace of Bovine Smuggling, Narcotics and other crime & take special care about security of vital installations & religious places. They were also instructed to work for maintenance of communal harmony, brotherhood and peace in the area.

The efforts of district police Reasi for managing Covid during second wave of the Pandemic were also appreciated and further directed to continue it to make people to follow Covid appropriate behavior in later and spirit.

SSP Reasi thanks his supervisory Officer for sparing his valuable time and providing guidance to the officers of the district police Reasi, further assured fully implementation of all the directions on ground.
