Jammu, February 28, 2021: Crime Branch Jammu produced charge-sheet against accused- Ashok Kumar Sharma S/O Sh. Kenya Lal R/O H.No.324, Rehari Colony Jammu and others in the Hon’ble Court of law in case FIR No.12/2017 U/S 420/RPC P/S Crime Branch Jammu for their involvement in cheating the complainant and duping him of his money by preparing false agreement to sell 4 Kanals land. The Charge-sheet has been produced in the Hon’ble Court of Sub-Judge, Jammu for judicial determination.
A written complaint was lodged by Smt. Aruna W/O Sh. Sham Parkash R/O 209, Rehari Colony Jammu in Crime Branch wherein she has alleged that one Ashok Kumar Sharma S/O Sh. Kanheya Lal R/o 324 Rehari Colony Jammu entered into an agreement to sell land measuring 4 kanals comprising situated at Salalpur Tehsil and District Jammu and took Rs. 3.00 lacs as advance and balance payment was to be made after two months but when the complainant approached accused with the remaining amount of Rs.17.00 lacs as per agreements, the accused refused to execute the sale deed, and also did not return the money as per the said agreement. It was further alleged that after repeated requests the accused further allured the complainant and entered into another agreement for sale land measuring 17 Marlas situated at Zaffre Chak, Marh Jammu and took Rs.1,20,000/- more but again refused to execute the formal sale deed. The accused once again repeated the same act and entered into a third agreement with the complainant in respect of the land measuring 14 marlas for a total sale consideration of Rs. 4,20,000/- and refused to execute the formal sale deed. In this way the accused duped the complainant of his money.
A preliminary verification was initiated by Crime Branch Jammu and during the course of verification allegations were prima facie substantiated, which led to the registration of criminal case against the accused for in-depth investigation of the case. From the evidence collected during the investigation and statements of witnesses, offence U/S 420 /RPC has been fully established against the accused for having allured the complainant and succeeded in obtaining Rs. 4.20 lacs from complainant with an inducement of selling him 4 kanals land which didn’t exist in his name.
