COVID-19: Three more deaths, 149 fresh cases in J&K
Srinagar records 42 fresh cases, case tally at 336,386, death toll stands at 4,473, active cases reaches to 1,724, recovery rate at 98.16 percent
Jammu, November 28, 2021: Jammu and Kashmir Saturday witnessed three deaths and 149 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,724.
With three more deaths, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,473 and 149 fresh positive cases reported on Saturday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 336,386.
Of the exact number of 336,386 cases, 211,416 are from Kashmir division and 124,970 from Jammu division. Officials said that among 149 new cases, 119 belong to Kashmir division while as 30 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 211,416 including 207,684 recoveries and 2,288 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 124,970 including 122,505 recoveries and 2,185 deaths
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,724 including 1,444 from Kashmir division and 280 from Jammu division.
With 141 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 330,189 which is 98.16 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 42 from Srinagar, 23 from Baramulla, 19 from Budgam, 04 from Pulwama, 13 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 07 from Bandipora, 08 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 30 from Jammu division include 09 from Jammu, 01 from Udhampur, 05 from Rajouri, 03 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 03 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 09 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities on Saturday said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 49.
As per officials figures, 77,127 positive cases including 865 deaths and 75,666 recoveries are from Srinagar, 25,335 including 287 deaths and 24,685 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,158 including 23,832 recoveries and 210 deaths are from Budgam, 15,588 including 15,352 recoveries and 194 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,731 including 166 deaths and 14,465 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,664 including 16,440 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,975 cases including 9,809 and 105 deaths are from Bandipora, 10,715 including 10,502 recoveries and 79 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,511 including 11,382 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,612 including 5,551 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 53,608 including 52,321 recoveries and 1,151 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,438 including 11,292 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,324 including 11,067 recoveries and 238 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,929 including 7,772 recoveries and 133 deaths are from Doda, 9,349 including 9,193 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,163 including 7,042 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,831 including 4,777 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,520 including 6,409 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,055 including 5,987 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,753 including 6,646 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 4,386,153 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 6,333 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,724 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 3,942,705 persons have completed the surveillance period and 430,918 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 17,488,749 samples are available. Out of 17,488,749 the number of samples tested negative stands at 17,152,263 while as 336,386 have tested positive, among them 1,724 persons are active, 330,189 persons have recovered and 4,473 persons have died—(KNO)
