Jammu, January 15, 2021: Crime Branch Jammu today strongly contested bail applications of accused- Gandharab Singh S/O Sh. Amir Chand and his son Arjun Singh R/O Thanger Puli, By-Pass Channi Himmat, Jammu and got their interim bail applications dismissed in case FIR No. 44/2020 U/S 420, 465, 467, 468, 120-B IPC. The accused are involved in duping the complainant-Krishan Lal S/O Sh. Amar Nath R/o Dhakki Bazar, ward No. 7, Rajouri, A/P Deeli Greater, Jammu of huge sum of money over a piece of land (Plot), falling in a prime location in Jammu City-viz Greater Kailash Jammu.
On proving the offence in preliminary verification by Crime Branch Jammu instant case was lodged against both the accused persons. However, the accused approached the Hon’ble Court and got interim bail. The accused were not cooperating in the investigation of the case. On this CB-Jammu vigorously contested the bail applications of the accused in six hearings in the Hon’ble Court of law. On the basis of preliminary evidence collected against the accused and put up before the Hon’ble Court, the custody of the accused was sought for custodial interrogation and for effecting recovery from the accused. The Hon’ble Court appreciating facts of the case and arguments of CB-Jammu, cancelled the interim bail of the accused and allowed CB-Jammu to go ahead with arrest of the accused persons for further investigation of the case.
