BJP Health and Medical Cell Convener JKUT Puneet Mahajan, State Conveners call on newly appointed principal GMC Dr. Ashutosh Gupta; discuss various matters of public interest
Jammu, July 30, 2023: BJP Health and Medical Cell Convener for Jammu & Kashmir (UT) & Senior BJP Leader Puneet Mahajan, accompanied by State Conveners; Mohd Javed, State Executive Member: Pawan Choudhary, District Jammu Convener: Advocate Sudesh Sharma, Co-conveners: Narinder Singh, Arun Sharma & Surindar Ghai, met Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, newly appointed Principal of Government Medical College Jammu here today.
Puneet Mahajan (Convenor), congratulated the newly appointed Principal and also conveyed to him the high hopes which especially the people of Jammu are having with his appointment as Principal of Medical College Jammu, as he being an able doctor & son of the soil is already serving them since long.
Mr Puneet Mahajan had a detailed interaction with , Dr Ashutosh Gupta (Principal), wherein he also projected several demands and issues of public importance vz a viz availability of Senior Consultants round the clock for the specialized treatment of the patients admitted in emergency, increasing the number of doctors & paramedical staff, Availability of life saving drugs and other medical equipments in emergency section , extending the emergency area, & its sanitation conditions, Availability of Blood bank and Laboratory services and many other Issues of Public Importance.
Convener also requested the principal to increase the staff dealing with offline registration of the visiting patients in the OPDs. Since the registration process is now online which is also the need of the hour , but since most of the patients visiting the hospital are poor people who neither afford nor even know how to operate these modern gadgets( smart phones) . He also stressed laid emphasis on the opertionalisation of second Ultrasound Machine in emergency block.
Convener also urged the necessity of covering the Alcohlic Liver disease, Injection Albumin, Multifracture Cases, Injection Lvig etc and many other serious diseases under PMJAY AyushmanBharat centrally sponsored National Flagship Scheme.
The principal Dr. Asutosh Gupta thanked the BJP (UT) Health and Medical Team led by its State Convener Sh Puneet Mahajan, & also saught their cooperation in identification of Volunteers who can work collectively as a bridge between between the patients and Medical College Staff for the implementation of different Govt. Sponsored Schemes & also awareness of the public & patients regarding the same for rendering better services the general public through this Prestigious institution.
