Batwal Community holds grand function at Sohanjana 

Felicitates Social leaders, Ph.D Holder and a Cultural Yogic Martial Arts Sports Star

Jammu, March 13, 2021: The Batwal Community organised a grand function in Lord Shiva Temple at Sohanjana here today wherein a large number of community members hailing from different corners participated and worshipped Lord Shiva to seek his benevolent blessings for their welfare.

Panch Joginder Sargotra said that according to popular belief, anyone who recites the name of Lord Shiva with purity gets liberated from the cycle of birth and death, and achieves moksha (enlightenment).

On the occasion, the community did a great honour to Mr R.L.Kaith who first founded the Batwal Youth Development Committee in 1983, then the J&K Batwal Welfare Association in 1995 and also acted on both’s important positions for a long pretty time and still continues to do social service to the community.

The Community felicitated Dr Ramesh Kumar Kaith on achieving his Ph.D in Geology from the University of Jammu. Earning a Ph.D with such a good score was surely a tough deal. Dr Kaith has shown true signs of his relentless efforts and hard work, said the Community leaders. Dr Kaith thanked the Community for this honour and said the education plays a key role in revitalizing disadvantaged communities and thereby impacting the social fabric of communities and nations.

The Community also felicitated a cultural yogic arts sport star Raj Kumar Chanjotra on winning around 25 golds in Karate championships held since 1999 across India and also winning more golds in sqay martial arts events held in Nepal, Bangladesh, Bangkok, Sri Lanka and Bhutan from 2009 to 2013.

Sarpanch Jyoti Motan who was the chief guest said, it is my honour to be here in this esteemed function organised in Tawi Island. She said women’s economic empowerment is the right and smart investment and is also for poverty eradication and reducing inequality.

She also appreciated Association’s current President, General Secretary and other office-bearers for discharging their duties with utmost dedication and great responsibility.

Bua Ditta Kaith, Tara Chand Motan, Hans Raj Bahadur Loria, Gurdas Chand Sargotra, Tilak Raj Bassa, Tarsem Lal Kaith, Gopal Chand Sargotra, Arjun Kumar Tugga, Sunil Kumar Kaith, Tarsem Lal Sargotra,  Darshan Lal Lakhotra, Tarsem Lal Kaith, Jai Pal Motan and Rajesh Motan.
