Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav: GMDC Zanskar organizes webinar-Health Related Physical Fitness Components to Improve Immunity Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
Kargil, May 18, 2021: As a part of the celebrations of the 75 Years of India’s Independence- Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, Department of Physical Education and Sports, Government Model Degree College (GMDC), Zanskar organized a daylong webinar on the theme-Health Related Physical Fitness Components to Improve Immunity Amid COVID-19 Pandemic here today.
Principal GMDC, Zanskar Nassir Hussain Shabani was the chief patron on the occasion while Director Sports, Government Degree College Ramnagar Mukesh Kumar was the resource person of the webinar.
Principal Nassir Hussain Shabani while welcoming the resource person, staff members and students emphasized the importance of physical fitness which is very instrumental in combating dreaded diseases like COVID-19. He also appreciated the efforts of the Organising Secretary and the Convener for organising such an event and thanked the resource person on throwing ample light on such an important topic for the staff and students of the college.
Meanwhile, Director Sports Government Degree College Ramnagar Mukesh Kumar deliberated extensively on different aspects of physical fitness and the need for immunity improvement during the COVID-19 pandemic which was highly applauded by the staff members and students. He also convincingly responded to the questions raised by participants at the end of the session.
Pertinently, the 2 hours webinar was attended by more than 40 participants including the staff members and students of the college.
Director Physical Education and Sports, GMDC Zanskar Murtaza Ali conducted the proceedings of the webinar as Organising Secretary while Librarian of the college Murtaza who was also the webinar Convenor presented the vote of thanks at the end.
