Army jawan found dead inside army camp in Jammu’s Akhnoor

Body of 35-yr-old recovered from Nallah in Verinag

Jammu/Anantnag, Jun 01 (KNO): An army soldier was on Monday late evening found dead with a gunshot injury inside an army camp in Akhnoor area of Jammu district.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the army soldier identified as Sandeep Kumar, was deployed in Akhboor army camp and was found lying in a pool of blood due to the gunshot injury.

He said that senior officers immediately rushed to the spot.

Meanwhile, Police said that they have started legal formalities and investigation into the matter has also been initiated.

Meanwhile body of a 35-year-old man was recovered from a Nallah in Dooru area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday afternoon.

A police official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man identified as Reyaz Ahmad Chachi son of Alam-Din-Chachi of Hallan Verinag was found dead under mysterious conditions in Nallah Sandran near Poolia Verinag.

Station house officer, Dooru told KNO that police reached the spot soon after being informed by the locals. “Further details are being ascertained,” he said—(KNO)
