Apni Party holds protest against PDD in Vijaypur

PDD sending huge bills to people amid hours long unscheduled power cuts: Manjit Singh

Vijaypur, January 16, 2023: Apni Party today protested against PDD for unscheduled power cuts in front of SDM Office in Vijaypur and presented a memorandum of demands to the authorities for redressal of their issues.

The protest was led by Provincial President, Jammu and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh, the Apni Party leaders and workers assembled outside the SDM Office, Vijaypur.

They were shouting slogans against the PDD for failing to supply electricity round the clock. They demanded that Vijaypur and border villages have been forced to face unscheduled power cuts.

“The PDD is charging huge bills from the people in Vijaypur and in response they have not provided them with electricity. The people are getting huge electricity bills without electricity,” he said.

He warned that the people should not be forced to come on the roads and demanded that the PDD should ensure round the clock electricity to the people in Vijaypur.

The common masses, farmers, and business men are equally suffering due to the inefficiency of the PDD department, he added.

The Former Minister submitted a memorandum to the SDM Vijaypur and demanded that the demands of the people should be accepted and to ensure proper electricity supply.

Prominent among those who participated in the protest include Raman Thapa District President Samba, Bachan Choudhary Block President Ramgarh, Captain Mohan Lal Sharma Block President Vijaypur, Adv Sahil Bharti Dist President Legal Wing Samba, Mangat Ram Dist President Youth Wing, Lovely Mangol, Nikki Mahajan ex-Chairman Municipal Committee Vijaypur, Bharat Bushan Beopar Mandal President  Vijaypur, Captain Joginder Lal Sarpanch Vijaypur, Ravi Kumar Corporator Ward Number 13 and others.
