Police Public meetings held in Kulgam & Budgam

Kulgam/Budgam, April 10, 2021: As a part of public outreach programme, police public interaction meetings were held in Kulgam & Budgam. The meetings were held while following social distancing norms and other protocols.

In Kulgam, the meeting was chaired by SHO Yaripora Insp Ayaz Rasool Geelani and was attended by the respectable citizens of Yaripora area including Traders Federation, Transporters, Auqaf Committee members, Numberdars and Chowkidars. During the meeting, the participants highlighted various issues of public importance pertaining to police as well as civil administration. The chairing officers assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.

The participants were also conveyed about precautionary measures to be followed for containment of Covid-19 and were requested to spread awareness about Covid SOPs. SHO Yaripora thanked the people for participating in the meeting and sharing valuable feedback. The meeting concluded with good note of thanks and appreciations from public.

In Budgam, the meeting was chaired by SSP Budgam Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS along with DySP HQRS Budgam Shri Fayaz Hussain Shah-JKPS & SHO Budgam. The meeting was attended by the respectable citizens of different villages like Soibugh, Dharmuna, Arath and other adjacent villages including Auqaf committee members and other youth bodies of the area.

During the meeting, the participants highlighted various issues of public importance pertaining to police as well as civil administration. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.

While speaking on the occasion, SSP budgam thanked the participants for their presence and their valuable suggestions and assured the participants that the issues related to police will be redressed on priority. He also requested the participants to cooperate with the Police on every front so that the crime can be eradicated within the society.

The participants in the meeting assured their full cooperation to police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely. The meeting concluded with good note of thanks and appreciations from public.
