Community Volunteers Lead Preparations for Sacred Pilgrimage to Kheer Bhawani
Jagti Township, Jammu, May 30, 2025: In a moment of great spiritual significance, the first group of pilgrims, under the leadership of respected community figure Shri M.K. Yogi, was ceremoniously sent off from Jagti Township today, marking the start of the revered annual journey to the Kheer Bhawani Temple in Tulmulla, Ganderbal, on the holy occasion of Zyesht Ashtami.
Accompanying the main group, an advance team of dedicated volunteers—including notable community members such as Ravi Ji Bakshi, Prem Ji Sharma, Tej Krishan Dhar, Er. Sunil Kumar, Ashwani Kumar Bhat, Vakas Koul, Kamal Krishan Ganjo, Naveen Gussi, Raj Kiran, Chander Dhar, Urmila Kent, and Sunita Jamwal—has also departed. Their mission is to supervise and coordinate the initial preparations at the sacred site.
The team has brought along vital food supplies and logistical essentials to facilitate the smooth arrival of pilgrims and to assist with the spiritual and cultural arrangements at the Kheer Bhawani Shrine. Their proactive approach highlights the community’s commitment to preserving long-standing traditions and ensuring a meaningful and well-organized pilgrimage for all devotees.
Local residents and community leaders gathered to extend their warm wishes and support to both the pilgrims and volunteers, praying for a safe, harmonious, and spiritually rewarding journey.
