Abhay Bakaya condemns JMC for selective approach in developmental works

JAMMU, OCTOBER 27, 2021: Apni Party Youth Wing today organised a corner meeting as a part of outreach programme in ward number 61.

The meeting was organised by Provincial Secretary Vishal Jyotshi at ward number 61 in which the participants expressed serious concern over the pathetic condition of garbage dumps, and adverse condition of drains and lanes.

Speaking on the occasion, people informed the Youth Wing that the funds have been sanctioned for the lane construction, but the same has not been done due to unknown reasons.

“The Corporator of the ward is also not cooperating or listening to the grievances of the people,” the locals claimed.

On hearing their grievances, State General Secretary, Youth Wing, Abhay Bakaya said that the poor condition of basic amenities in ward number 61.

“The area falls under the jurisdiction of Jammu Municipal Corporation yet the developmental activities seem very poor with the stinking lanes and drains with no cleaning or removal of garbage,” he said.

He said that the JMC has completely failed to work as per the wishes of the people and the elected representative of the ward has not been able to get the developmental works done.

“It is unfortunate if the funds have been sanctioned for the lane construction, yet it has not been constructed. It shows the selective approach adopted by JMC and elected presentative of the ward,” he added.

Meanwhile, Provincial President, Jammu, Youth Wing, Vipul Bali also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the grievances of the public issues with regard to developmental issues which often remain unaddressed.

He said that if the Apni Party comes into power, it will give 300 units free electricity. He also expressed concern over the unscheduled power cuts and irregular water supply.

Besides, District Vice President Vaibhav Mattoo said that the JMC is working on the behest of a political party which has befooled the people with false promises.

“These promises could not be fulfilled by the political party which is claiming to be the champion of Jammu,” he added.

Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Vice President Joginder Singh, Provincial Secretary, Sushil Khajuria, Organizing Secretary, Deepak Bradu, Secretary Abhishek Gosawami, Gaurav Chibber and Sandeep.
