AAP Leader expresses concern over genuine demand of aspiring students; asks LG to Restore waiting lists provision forthwith

Provincial Secretary Youth Wing AAP Muktesh Yogi has expressed deep concern and has strongly supported the "genuine demand" of aspiring students protesting for the restoration of waiting lists since long for the sake of justice and equality.

Jammu, December 28, 2023: Aam Aadmi Party Youth leader Muktesh Yogi has appealed the Lieutenant Governor of J&K Manoj Sinha to restore the provisions of waiting list in Government services forthwith so that posts may not fall vacant and maximum candidates could be absorbed on merit basis.

In a press statement issued today, Provincial Secretary Youth Wing AAP Muktesh Yogi has expressed deep concern and has strongly supported the “genuine demand” of aspiring students protesting for the restoration of waiting lists since long for the sake of justice and equality.

Yogi further said that a substantial number of candidates are appearing in multiple selections list, potentially leaving numerous positions unfilled without a waiting lists which is matter of great concern and injustice with hardworking and dedicated aspiring candidates that has created a hue and cry among the agitating aspirants. He described this as “unjust” to hardworking and dedicated aspirants and called for an immediate, “humanitarian review” to rectify the situation

Muktesh Yogi asserted, “The demand for reinstating waiting lists in government services is legitimate and necessitates immediate consideration”. He believes this action would streamline the recruitment process in Jammu and Kashmir and ensure that deserving candidates have a fair chance at securing government jobs within Union Territory.
