Drive against Unruly Two-wheelers/Four-Wheelers : Traffic Police City Jammu

Jammu, July 13, 2021:  In order to curb the menace of Traffic violations, Jammu Traffic Police under the supervisions of Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma JKPS, SSP Traffic City Jammu along with Sh Pardeep Singh ASP Traffic, Ms Shivali Kotwal DySP (T) North, Sh Sunil Singh DySP (T) South, Sh Neeraj Paddyar DySP (T) City Rural, DTI’s and SOT’s of traffic police Jammu launched special drive against violators particularly who were indulging in unruly driving and other visible offences.
Besides, a number of vehicles have been booked under various visible offences like  without crash helmets, safety belts, jumping traffic lights, use of mobile phones while driving, Triple ridings, over speeding etc. in which innocent human lives are directly involved.
Moreover, all the DySP’s, DTI’s and SOT’s  have been directed for having zero tolerance for the violators indulging in without wearing crash helmet, rash driving, without seat belt, minor driving, pillion riders not wearing helmet as well as other offences.
Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma stressed upon the traffic cops to ensure proper discipline, accountability and transparency in traffic management system, so that the violators could be dealt with iron hands under the provisions of New Motor Vehicle Act.
Besides, SSP Traffic advised his team to conduct the senior citizens and those who are in hurry for medical emergencies in a very polite and civilized way.
“Every year scores of teenagers riding two wheelers without crash helmet and resorting to triple riding lose their precious lives bringing gloom and despondency to otherwise happy families”, Said Sh Pradeep Singh Gouria Addl.SP Traffic Jammu.
Ms Shivali Kotwal DySP Traffic stressed on pillion riders that they shall also wear crash helmet and persons accompany the driver of four wheelers sitting on front seat shall also wear seat belt for their safety.
“The common masses are requested to cooperate with Traffic Police in order to bring the visible change in traffic management system of Jammu city”, Said Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma SSP Traffic City Jammu.
