Accommodate ORT migrants of Purkhoo Camp suitably: Apni Party leaders urge Govt
Many Kashmiri Pandits join Apni Party
Jammu, July 08, 2021: In continuation to Apni Party’s mass outreach programmes, Apni Party leaders visited Purkhoo Migrant Camp Jammu to discuss and deliberate up on the basic genuine problems being faced by the one room tenements (ORT) migrant families living in pathetic and unhygienic conditions.
In a statement to the press, Camp President Purkhoo Jammu Indeerjeet Raina and his team led by Vinod Pandita, State Coordinator Displaced Kashmiri Pandits, Jammu Division visited Purkhoo Migrant Camp.
He was also accompanied by Sanjay Dhar State Coordinator Displaced Kashmiri Pandits of Kashmir Division , Vaibhav Mattoo , District Vice President Jammu urban, Apni party leaders Vishal Jotshi, Deepak Bradoo and Vinod Bhat.
G.L. Pandita apni party leader in his speech highlighted basic genuine problems of ORT(one room tenements) Purkhoo like regularization of the camp by availing all basic facilities of life like supply of pure drinking water, regular supply of electricity, allotment of suitable accommodation to more than hundred families living here in miserable and pathetic condition in temporary arrangements, sanitation, immediate repair and renovation of these temporary one room tenaments to make them worth living etc.
He appealed Party leaders to take up these important issues with concerned authorities for it’s immediate addressal in a time bound period.
In his speech, Vinod Pandita said that the living conditions of more than hundred migrant families living in these temporary accommodations in one room tenements is quite pathetic and painful. He appealed Relief Commissioner Migrants Jammu to take necessary steps for their suitable accommodation forthwith as their living conditions in these temporary one room tenements is pathetic and unhygienic which worrying.
He said after inspecting the whole camp along with his team , Pandita said such basic camps can not be ignored and left unattended .
Pandita assured the residents that he will address their genuine problems with Party’s senior leadership vigorously for their early mitigation on humanitarian grounds. On this occasion many Kashmiri Pandits joined the Apni party before him and they were welcomed in the party .
Sanjay Dhar in his address said that the Government needs to address the problems of Kashmiri Displaced migrants on priority basis as well should accommodate all such migrants who are still living in miserable conditions in various temporary camps and non camps for the last more than three decades.
Dhar also congratulated the new entrants in the party and urged them to work for the betterment of the party by taking the policies and programmes of the party to gross root level as it is the need of the hour.
Vaibhav Mattoo & Deepak Bradoo also spoke on the occasion. In the end vote of thanks was presented by Inderjeet Raina camp President Purkhoo .
