SDM Sankoo discusses COVID-19 Vaccination status of 18-44 years population with Councillors, religious heads, BDC Chairpersons
Urges for continued support for 100% vaccination coverage
KARGIL JULY 03, 2021: On the direction of the Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sankoo Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani convened a meeting of the Councillors, religious heads, BDC Chairpersons and concerned officers of Sankoo Sub Division here on Friday.
The meeting was convened to discuss measures for intensifying the on-going COVID-19 vaccination drive, and to ensure 100% vaccine coverage in the 18-44 year population.
Councillors of different constituencies, heads of religious organizations, BDC Chairpersons, Tehsildars of Sankoo and Taisuru, District Immunization Officer Kargil, Block Medical Officers of Sankoo and Taisuru besides other concerned officers were present during the meeting.
The meeting discussed the present status of COVID-19 vaccination in case of the 18-44 year age group.
It was informed on the occasion that around 80% vaccination coverage has been achieved so far, while vaccination in case of the remaining population is underway in full swing.
The SDM while expressing gratitude to the religious heads, public representatives and PRI members for their proactive support and cooperation to the Administration so far in the effective execution of the COVID-19 vaccination programme in Sankoo Sub Division urged them to extend their continued support, so as to achieve the target of 100% vaccination coverage during the coming days.
