Says Need to ensure an atmosphere of safety and security in J&K
SRINGAR, June 24, 2021: The all-party meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with 14 leaders of Jammu and Kashmir has ended in New Delhi on Thursday. The meeting lasted for about three and a half hours.
During the meeting, the government shared a presentation on the developmental projects and schemes in Jammu and Kashmir. Sources say PM Modi PM expressed satisfaction with the “acceleration of development” in the UT and said that it is “creating new hope and aspirations among the people”.
The PM reportedly also said that there political differences would arise but everyone should work in the national interest so that the people of J&K benefit from it. He stressed that an atmosphere of safety and security needs to be ensured for all sections of society in J&K.

He stressed that there is a need to ensure an environment of safety and security for all in Jammu and Kashmir. The PM said that he wants to erase ‘Dilli ki Doori’ and ‘Dil ki Doori’.
“We are committed to ensure all round development of J&K. The future of Jammu and Kashmir was discussed and the delimitation exercise and peaceful elections are important milestones in restoring statehood as promised in Parliament,” Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted.
Farooq Abdullah, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mehbooba Mufti, Ravindra Raina, Kavinder Gupta, Nirmal Singh, Sajjad Lone, Bhim Singh, and many other leaders attended this meeting. Along with this, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, NSA Ajit Doval also attended this meeting. (PTK)
