COVID-19: J&K reports 10 deaths, 715 positive cases
One more case of Mucormycosis confirmed; Case tally at 308,726,death toll mounts to 4,205, active cases decrease to 12,407, recovery rate at 94.61 percent
Jammu, June 15, 2021: The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Tuesday witnessed 10 deaths due to Covid-19 while as 715 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 12,407
With 10 more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,205 and 715 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 308,726
Of the exact number of 308,726 cases, 191,355 are from Kashmir division and 117,371 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 715 new cases, 497 belong to Kashmir division while as 218 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 191,355 including 181,334 recoveries and 2,158 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 117,371 including 110,780 recoveries and 2,047 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 12,407 including 7,863 from Kashmir division and 4,544 from Jammu division.
With 1,830 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 292,114 which is 94.61 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 132 from Srinagar, 55 from Baramulla, 63 from Budgam, 58 from Pulwama, 65 from Kupwara, 36 from Anantnag, 27 from Bandipora, 25 from Ganderbal, 31 from Kulgam and 05 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 218 from Jammu division include 22 from Jammu, 13 from Udhampur, 49 from Rajouri, 31 from Doda, 15 from Kathua, 05 from Samba, 19 from Kishtwar, 34 from Poonch, 16 from Ramban and 14 from Reasi,” officials disclosed
Meanwhile, authorities on Tuesday said that one fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported and toll of total cases of Mucormycosis has reached to 21.
Out of 09 deaths reported today, 02 died in GMC Doda, 02 in GMC Rajouri, 01 in DH Reasi, 01 in Home, 01 in DH Pulwama, 01 in SMHS Srinagar, 01 in CHC Kupwara and one in CHC Sopore.
As per officials figures, 68,521 positive cases including 815 deaths and 65,833 recoveries are from Srinagar, 22,781 including 274 deaths and 21,533 recoveries are from Baramulla, 21,952 including 20,820 recoveries and 199 deaths are from Budgam, 14,509 including 13,162 recoveries and 183 deaths are from Pulwama, 13,389 including 155 deaths and 12,477 recoveries are from Kupwara, 15,591 including 14,645 recoveries and 193 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,035 cases including 8,605 and 98 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,319 including 8,867 recoveries and 74 deaths are from Ganderbal, 10,750 including 1,0120 recoveries and 109 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,508 including 5,272 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 52,047 including 49,508 recoveries and 1,117 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,014 including 10,676 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,456 including 9,819 recoveries and 206 deaths are from Rajouri, 6,435 including 5,481 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Doda, 9,085 including 8,820 recoveries and 149 deaths are from Kathua, 7,008 including 6,659 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Samba, 4,271 including 4,093 recoveries and 39 deaths are from Kishtwar, 5,892 including 5,130 recoveries and 86 deaths are from Poonch, 5,628 including 5,254 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Ramban and 5,535 including 5,340 recoveries and 42 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 2,254586 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 55,817 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 12,407 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 2,022,955 persons have completed the surveillance period and 159,202 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 9,258,141 samples are available. Out of 9,258,141 the number of samples tested negative stands at 8,949,415 while as 308,726 have tested positive, among them 12,407 persons are active, 292,114 persons have recovered and 4,205 persons have died—(KNO)
