Budgam police arrests 02 terrorist associates; incriminating material recovered
Budgam, February 15, 2021: Police in Budgam have arrested two terrorist associates of proscribed terror outfits of LeT and TuM and recovered incriminating materials from their possession.
Budgam police along with 53RR have arrested two terrorist associates of proscribed terror outfits LeT and TuM. They have been identified as Sameer Ahmed Ittoo and Ubaid Ameen Mallah both residents of district Kulgam. Incriminating materials including flags, banners and letter pad have been recovered from their possession.
During the preliminary investigation, it has come to fore that these persons were involved in grenade lobbying incidents in Pulwama and Kulgam districts of South Kashmir, besides they were making posters, banners and flags of banned terror organisations on the directions of their handlers across borders for further distribution at various locations in Central and South Kashmir. They were also actively involved in recruiting terrorists and OGWs with the aim to carry further terror activities in Budgam.
Accordingly, a case FIR No 6/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Chadoora and further investigation has been initiated.
Pertinently, the timely action by the police and security forces has prevented major terror crimes in the area.
