Javid Kakroo Condemns Brutal Terrorist Attack in Pahalgam, Offers Deepest Condolences
Terrorism Strikes Kashmiri Tourism, Kakroo Demands Justice, Reassurance
London, April 22, 2025: Senior BJP leader Javid Kakroo has issued a strong condemnation of the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, expressing profound grief and offering heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. The attack, which targeted a prime tourist location Baisaran known as “Mini Switzerland,” resulted in the tragic deaths of at least 28 people, including a member of the armed forces and foreign nationals.
“This cowardly and inhumane attack is not only an affront to humanity but a direct assault on the peace and progress of Jammu and Kashmir,” stated Mr. Kakroo in a press statement. “The targeting of innocent civilians, including foreign tourists who came to experience the beauty of our region, is particularly reprehensible. This act of violence not only causes immense suffering for the victims’ families but also gravely undermines the livelihoods of countless Kashmiris who depend on tourism for their survival.”
Mr. Kakroo emphasized that such acts of terror inflict irreparable damage on the image of the Kashmiri people, tarnishing their reputation for hospitality and warmth. “These terrorists do not represent the values and aspirations of the Kashmiri people,” he stated. “Their actions are a betrayal of our culture and a deliberate attempt to disrupt the peace and prosperity of our land.”
He expressed his deepest sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved families, sharing in their immense pain and loss. “Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at the senseless loss of so many precious lives,” he said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones in this tragic incident.”
He lauded the prompt response from the security forces and emphasized the need for swift and decisive action to bring the perpetrators to justice. “Those responsible for this heinous crime must be brought to account, and we must do everything in our power to prevent such atrocities from ever happening again,” he declared. “We must work tirelessly to counter the false narrative being propagated by these terrorists and reassure the world that Kashmir is a safe and welcoming destination.”
Mr. Kakroo urged for peace and unity in the region. “We will not be deterred by acts of terror,” he asserted. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir will stand united against violence and work together to ensure the safety and security of all its citizens and visitors, rebuilding the tourism sector and protecting the livelihoods of our people.”
