Jammu, March 27, 2025: The Reflection Group (TRG) marked the celebration of World Theatre Day with an engaging theatrical and academic event, highlighting the significance of theatre in society.
The celebration featured a powerful performance of the short play “Shirya Bhatt”, written and directed by Ravinder Sharma. The play captivated the audience with its compelling narrative, bringing to life the historical tale of Shirya Bhatt, the 15th-century Kashmiri physician and social scientist, a revered figure known for his contributions to society.
The actors who performed in the play were Akash Katoch, Gorav Singh Manhas, Jatin Kumar Mehra, Maink Sharma, Mukal Bains, Raghuvansh, Amit Singh & Nitesh Kumar. Shruti Kumari, Jaanvi Bharti & Yeshvinder Bali handled the backstage work.
Adding to the intellectual discourse of the event, Ravinder Sharma also delivered an insightful lecture on Theatre-in-Education, emphasizing the role of theatre as a transformative tool in the learning process. His lecture shed light on how theatre can be an effective medium in education, fostering creativity, expression, and critical thinking among students.
