Yogi appeals for Political Reservation of Assembly Seats for KPs.
Jammu, December 7, 2023: Prominent Kashmiri Pandit leader M.K.Yogi has appealed Hon’ble Prime Minister and Home Minister of India to reserve 4 Assembly Seats for Kashmiri Migrant in valley to give them political empowerment .
In a statement issued today, M.K. Yogi has strongly pleaded for reserving 4 Assembly constituencies for Displaced Kashmiri Migrants rather than nomination of Kashmiri Migrants in the legislature which would not provided justice to this displaced as for last many years nomination process has not benefitted the community at large.
He further said that by reserving assembly seats and constituencies will not only allow kashmiri Pandits to exercise their voting rights but also will avail them the opportunity to elect their true representatives who will honestly and dedicatedly project their cause and address their burning issues.
Yogi further appealed His Excellency Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to address the genuine problems being faced by the community living in exile on priority basis and also constitute an Apex Committee of Kashmiri Pandits comprising of honest, dedicated with social aptitude representatives from camps and non camps by way of elections so that they can unitedly project the problems of migrants with the concerned authorities for early resolution .
