Shabir Kohli demands road connectivity, clean drinking water in Aatham Panchayat
Jammu, August 24, 2023: Apni Party ST Wing Provincial President, Jammu, Shabir Choudhary today demanded road connectivity and clean drinking water at ward number 5 in Aatham Panchayat in Nagrota constituency.
He raised this demand during a meeting that was organized at Aatham Panchayat in Nagrota last evening.
The meeting was organized under the leadership of ST Wing Provincial President, Shabir Kohli. He was accompanied by ST Wing District President Jammu, Panch, Riyaz, ST Wing General Secretary Fareed, and others.
During the meeting, Kohli expressed that there was no road connectivity to ward number 5 compelling over 40 families to reach their destinations by adopting traditional routes or crossing the nallah that has posed a serious threat to their lives.
The Govt should ensure that road connectivity is provided to the unconnected families in ward number 5 of Aatham Panchayat.
He also demanded that clean drinking water and electricity should also be provided to the said panchayat’s ward.
“The developmental work in the said Panchayat has been badly affected as the people are still using traditional methods to live their life,” he said.
As far as other basic amenities are concerned, he said that the electricity and drinking water supply system has also remained the main concern of the residents in the said Panchayat.
He appealed to the authorities to do the needful to end the worries of the people by providing them motorable road connectivity, and 24/7 road and electricity supply system.
