Bollywood Singer Anil Shrivastava Enthralls the City of Temples
Jammu, January 23, 2023: Renowned Bollywood singer Anil Shrivastava K for KISHORE rocked the City of Temples Jammu yesterday at Hotel Ritz Manor. When public gatherings have been a taboo over the past two years, this event was more than welcome after the covid. In this first of its kind show in the city, the star performer Anil made a grand entry into the hall singing the ever-green number “Ek haseena thi . . . ek deewana tha . . .”
The energetic singer sang non-stop for over three hours and kept the audience enthralled throughout the evening with an extreme variety of songs to include melody, patriotic and spiritual numbers. Among the famous and ever-lasting numbers, he sang,“Chand mera dil, chand meri jaan…”, “Dil kya kare jab kisi ko kisi se pyar…”, “Mere sapno ki Rani…” and numerous others. On request by a few army people in view of the Republic day, “Mera Karma tu…” and “Mere desh ki Dharti…” were performed. He then sang a famous Bhent, “Chalo bulawa aaya hai…” on request of senior citizens. But obviously, the programme wound up with; “Chalte chalte …”
The event opened with Ribbon Cutting and Deep Prajawalan by the Chief Guest Sh Jugal Kishore, Honourable Member of Parliament and Guest of Honour Advocate Purnima Sharma, Ex Deputy Mayor JMC. The first act was Ganesh Sthuti with special support given by Nrityanjali team led by Mrs Priya Dutta.
Anil Shrivastava was awarded the title Champion singer in Sony TV’s Reality show K FOR KISHORE by legend music director Sh Bappi Lahiri ji and Voice Culture from Bappi Lahiri, Sudesh Bhosle and Amit Kumar.He did playback singing for Bollywood Film “Ram Babu Atrangi” in 2009.
He won Bharat Gourav Ratna Award for Best Kishore Kumar singer in Delhi in 2016 by Kala Darpan. He was awarded Best Singer Award by Chhattisgarh Mahotsav and Best Singer Award with Javed Ali in Tatta Pani Mahotsav in 2017.
Anil’s albums, “Ajnabi kaun ho tum Singer Anil Shrivastava…”, “Tere jaisa yaar kahan…” and many others are huge hits on YouTube. And the latest is a grand surprise which the audience is keenly looking forward to, is his recently concluded playback for a very renowned star which is awaiting release.
The event was organised by Dr Ranjana Verma, a social activist. Ms Vishakha, a singer from Jammu accompanied Anil Shrivastava for the duets.The event was compered by RJ Tushar and Ms Vishakha, a student of Mass Communication, Central University of Jammu.Mrs Anju Bansal & Mr Jai Paul Gill were the Core Members of Organising Committee.
