J&K completes 100% first dose vaccination for all above 18 years age group
45% population given second dose
Jammu, October 14, 2021: The Jammu and Kashmir has completed 100 percent first dose vaccination for all above 18 years of age.
As per the data, four remaining districts who were yet to complete the hundred percent vaccination have also achieved their feat.
As per data, 45 percent population has been given second dose of Covid vaccine so far in J&K.
On achieving this feat, programmes across J&K were held to celebrate this day as the milestone in fight against the Covid-19 in which appreciation certificates were distributed among heath care workers besides hospitals were illuminated with lights and hoardings.
Vaccination process in J&K was started in January this year with first health care workers and front line workers inoculated first.
Meanwhile, below 18 age group are yet to be covered as government has not taken any decision about their vaccination—(KNO)
