AJKLTF celebrates Gurubandhan Karyakaram at Ramban

Ramban, July 24, 2021: All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation aft. with Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, Ramban unit celebrated Gurubandhan Karyakaram in which the teachers, students, eminent educationists and citizens participated.

In this programme Prof Ajay Kumar Singh Central University of Jammu was the Chief Guest while Devraj Thakur President and Rattan Sharma Gen. Secretary AJKLTF JKUT were the Special Guest during the occassion .

Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh celebrates Gurubandhan programme during ‘Gurupurnima’ on the eve of jayanti of Mehrishi Ved Vyas ji all over the country every year .

The same programme was celebrated by the Ramban unit of the Federation.

The main purpose to celebrate Gurubandhan karyakaram is to uphold and preserve the thousands of years old Indian Guru values, culture and tradition,which developed Ancient India as a model society.

Addressing the teachers and audience Dr Ajay Kumar Singh expressed the role of a teacher in the life of people.

Dr Singh while quoting the lines of Sant, Kabir ji has beautifully elaborated about the importance of “Guru” in life of a person and how reading the spiritual books like Ved is futile without the guidance of a guru. To appreciate the hardwork of a teacher, he said that the day of Guru Purnima is celebsrated on the birthday of Maharishi Ved Vyas . A teacher/ guru has a huge role to play as he is the only one who guide a person throughout their life.

“A school teacher guides a person for their career while a “ guru” is even more important as he guides a person to the right way of worship which can help one attain salvation and god” he said.

Dr Singh quoting Kabir ji- “Guru govid dono khade, kiske laagu paye. Balihari guru aapne, jinn govid diyo btaye.” he said that in these lines Kabir  has shown that a guru should be worshipped before god as he is the one who enlightened you to the right worship to attain god. In other texts, he has also explained the grandeur of guru by highlighting that a Guru should be considered equivalent to god.

“The speaker of holy Geeta has also asked the people to go in the refuge of a spiritual guru who can guide to the right worship. This guru purnima let’s all take a pledge to treat all our teachers with utmost respect which they deserve for all the selfless hardwork they putin for betterment of the society” said Dr Ajay.

So this guru Purnima let’s not just show our gratitude to our teachers but also enlighten ourselves with the ultimate aim of human life and the right way for peace and prosperity, Dr Ajay said.

The program strated with Sarswati vandana. AJKLTF District President Vippan Sharma in his welcome address highlighted the purpose of guru vandana celebrations by AJKLTF alover the district and welcomed all the participants in the program. Jeevan Singh district vice president presented vote of thanks.

At Kathua, on the occasion under the leadership of AJKLTF vice president Shivdev Singh Badwhal a program organized, and a one week plantation drive also started. District unit, teachers, Educationists,prominent citizens and students participated in this program.

A similar program also held at Doda under the leadership of district president Mohan Singh Parihar.

Others prominent who participated in the program were Darshan Bharti sr. Vice president, Shivdev Singh vice president, Neeraj Sharma vice-president JKUT, Nisha Devi, Jeevan Parish Pardeep Singh etc and R P Singh Manhas conducted this program.
