68% population above 18 given second vaccine dose in J&K
Srinagar leading in Kashmir, Poonch in Jammu
Srinagar, November 16, 2021: After completing 100 percent first dose vaccination of all above 18 years of age, the health department in J&K has managed to give a second jab to over 68 percent of the population.
As per the data available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Srinagar district where over 83 percent population has been given second dose is leading in Kashmir valley, while Poonch district where over 86 percent people have been given second dose of vaccination is leading in Jammu division.
As per the data, the estimated population above 18 in J&K is 9,303,842 which is about 66 percent of the total population and all have been given first dose while 6,318,030 (68 percent) have been given second dose in J&K.
In Srinagar out of 938,065 persons above 18 years of age 782,825 (83 percent) have been given second dose and in Kulgam of 398,001 persons above 18 years of age 242,327 (61 percent) have been given second.
In Shopian 63 percent, Bandipora 57 percent, Anantnag 64 percent, Baramulla 70 percent, Kupwara 66 percent, Pulwama 67 percent, Ganderbal 65 percent and Budgam 66 percent have been given second dose of vaccination so far in Kashmir division.
In Jammu division, 61 percent in Jammu, 56 percent in Kishtwar, 64 percent in Doda, 68 percent in Udhampur, 67 percent in Kathua, 78 percent in Ramban, 67 percent in Samba, 66 percent in Rajouri, 86 percent in Poonch and 76 percent in Reasi have been given second dose—(KNO)
