4 days training program on Early Child Education for ICDS Workers, Supervisors concludes in Kargil

CEC Feroz Khan underlines need to strengthen human resource development sector

KARGIL, OCTOBER 30, 2021: 4 Days Training Programme on Early Child Education for ICDS Workers and Supervisors organised by the LAHDC Kargil in collaboration with 17000ft Foundation and Key Education Foundation concluded at Auditorium Hall Kargil here today.

Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.

Executive Councillor for Works Aga Syed Abbas Razvi, Programme Officer ICDS Kargil Nargis Banoo, Chief Education Officer Nazir Ahmad Wani, Chief Medical Officer Munawar Hussain Wazir, CDPO Taisuru Parveen Akhter, CDPO Shargole Aga Syed Murtaza, CEO 17000ft foundation Sujata Sahu, Founder Key Education Foundation Shweta Guhan besides ICDS Supervisors, Workers and concerned officers were present during the event.

Addressing the gathering, CEC Feroz Ahmad Khan expressed satisfaction over the successful conduct of the training programme, and said that developmental goals for public welfare can be achieved only when the ground workers are imparted with required skills and education and the training programme was conducted with this objective in mind.

CEC Khan added that the purpose of choosing ICDS Department for this type of training was because it plays a multipurpose role in the society. He assured that proper provision of funding for training and exposure will be ensured so that the skills of the field functionaries are enhanced further, adding he stressed that focus needs to be laid on human resource development to ensure all round development in society.

The CEC asked the event co-organisers for further collaboration in future to impart similar type of training to the ground level workers. He also urged the organisers to do the documentation of the training programme so that the matter can be taken up with the UT Administration regarding further enhancement of the schemes related to the department.

Programme Officer ICDS Nargis Banoo in her address said that it was one of its kind of workshop held for the Anganwadi Workers in the district, adding she expressed gratitude to the LAHDC, Kargil for successful conduct of the programme.

Earlier CDPO Shargole Aga Syed Murtaza, CEO 17000ft Foundation Sujata Sahu, Founder Key Education Foundation Shweta Guhan and Namrita from Key Education Foundation addressed the gathering and gave detailed information about the training module and overall conduct of the 4 days training program.

The ICDS Workers and Supervisors also shared their experiences about the program while a short audio-visual presentation pertaining to the 4 days training module was also screened during the programme.

Coordinator 17000ft Foundation Kargil Zakir Hussain presented the vote of thanks, while Muhammad Jaffar and Sadiq Ali conducted the proceedings of the event.
