Vomedh’s Bhajan Sandhya at Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple Concludes with Standing Ovation

2-Days of Devotional Music, Standing Ovations: Vomedh's Spiritual Festival sets new records

Ganderbal, June 15, 2024: A two-day spiritual festival, organized by Vomedh in collaboration with the Relief & Rehabilitation Organisation and J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages, concluded on June 14th at the revered Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple in Tulmulla, Ganderbal. The festival, which commenced on June 13th, culminated with a standing ovation from the audience, marking a resounding success.
The first day of the festival was a devotional musical extravaganza with a Bhajan Sandhya featuring renowned artists from Jammu and Kashmir. Nirmala Koul and Pallavi Koul, Haseena Akhtar, Rajesh Khar, and Sanam Sajjad captivated the audience with their soul-stirring renditions.
Day two witnessed the inauguration of a spiritual exhibition showcasing devotional tools and paraphernalia used for Shivratri, Yagnyopavit, and Hawan Yagyas. The exhibition also featured spiritual paintings by Veer Ji Sumbli, a renowned artist, painter, sculptor, and art designer from Jammu and Kashmir. The highlight of the exhibition was Sumbli’s LIVE PAINTING of the Mata Maharagya Devi Temple, completed within three days on the temple premises.
The Bhajan Sandhya was graced by prominent dignitaries including Commissioner Relief Organisation Dr Arvind Karwani, DC Relief Vijay Sharma, Additional Secretary JKAACL Sanjeev Rana, Program Director DD Jammu & Akashvani Jammu Anjana Badyal, and Socio-Political Activist M K Yogi.
Dr Karwani, expressing his appreciation for the event, commended the efforts of Team Vomedh and the artists from the J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages. He assured attendees of improved facilities for future events, aiming to minimize hardships for Yatris. He also commended Bindya Raina Tikoo, the host of the Bhajan Sandhya, for her mastery of Kashmiri language and her exceptional ability to engage the audience.
DC Relief Vijay Sharma lauded the performances of the artists and the efforts of Vomedh, highlighting the universal language of music and its ability to touch the soul.
Rohit Bhat, Director Founder of Vomedh, expressed his gratitude to the Ganderbal Administration, Relief and Rehabilitation Organisation, J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages, Yatris, PM Package Employees, and locals for their unwavering support and collaboration. He assured the audience of a more impactful spiritual festival in the future, fuelled by the continued support of the community.
